Help needed for renumbering points

Dear Grasshopper friends.

I want to make straight line connections between these curves.

Though it might be possible to make surface get uv and desired line.

But I want to learn rearrangement of data.

Please help with renumbering these points.weave%20data.3dm

Either of these would work. The top solution being the simplest version. You were close with your definition, you just needed to partition the list into separate branches with of paired points after and then interpolate the points.

I was not clear in asking question. Making connecting line was not important but renumbering it.

Yes it is solved. But i can not understand the need of simplify. I read through "Grasshopper Primer_Second Edition_090323" Page 36. But really don't understand here, the need of removing sub branches and putting it in individual branches.

How to anticipate such need prior to the red blast.

I started believing that you have a great understanding of data structure.

Please explain to understand the need of "Simplify".

I do not know exactly why. But when you use the "cull i" component (along with many others) it adds an extra branch that is shared amongst all branches. the simplify component removes the branch that is shared among all branches.

It would be great if someone could chime in and explain exactly why this extra branch is added. I have always wondered the purpose. As a rule of thumb I am consistently checking if the tree structure matches when merging data trees. And more often than not need to simplify the inputs.

I will follow your thumb rule of " consistently checking if the tree structure matches when merging data trees."

Precaution is better than seeing red blast.

Hi friends

Here extrude component working fine but Sweep failed.

I want to achieve extrude result as shown in picture using a sweep component with simple rectangular profile.
