Hello,

Is it possible to call a rhino command ("hydrostatics") in a vb component?

You can run commands from a VB component, but it's typically pretty difficult to harvest the results. Are you looking to get the data produced by the Hydrostatics command?

If you use Solid Difference to remove the portion of your hull above water you can get pretty much.all the data you need.

The volume is your displacement

The centroid of which is your lcb

Extracting the top surface is your wpa

The length and breadth of which is your waterline length and beam

The centroid of which is your lcf

The area of what remains after the extraction of the wpa is your wsa

Hi Thomas,

If it helps this shows an example of what I mean:

NB you can change the point about which it transforms for Draft and Trim
