drape curves on surface

I am looking for a way to drape a 2D collection of curves onto group of contour surfaces. "Project curves" works however the curves are projected to all surfaces where as I need the to only project to the visible surface area from the "top' view.

The goal is to project 2D site data to a the 3D contour surfaces which will then be laser cut (no point laser etching the data to an area which isn't going to be visible once the model is put together)

I am new to Rhino and grasshopper so I'm not sure if grasshopper is the best way to solve this problem, but I feel this feature would be Incredibly useful! (especially for large scale projects)

Hi Alex, no I never found a way to do it. Hopefully someone on here knows. In the end I had to trim all the lines manually
