how are P1 and P2 defined? P2 is clearly the end of the major axis, but what is P1?

the distance between P1 und P2 is constant. The length/angle of black lines are fixed.

First step is done, but a have to do this for various positions. p. ex. P3 P4 P5 P6.......

Well you can use my file to measure the distance between P1 and P2, then you can use Circle/Ellipse intersection to find any other two pairs. Only problem is you'll probably get two answers for the intersection, so you need to fire out a way to reject the one you don't like.
