algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello all!

I've got a lofted surface that I am dividing into sections to be able to laser cut to fabricate. I've done many tutorials and have managed to get everything I want except for what I believe is the last part.

My definition is trying to find the center of each triangle surface once it has been laid out for fabrication and then essentially use that point as a point attractor to make varying size circles around it so each triangle should have a unique size and pattern.

It looks like my first row of triangles works fine and shows the variation I would like to see in the triangle, but as I get to the last sections, they no longer work and are all the same size circles. I've tried to flatten certain parts and still am not getting anything... I've attached my definition and file and appreciate your help to get all the triangles to look like the first one. Thank you!

Hi Adam,

This is a data matching issue. You're effectively comparing the distances to only a few of your points early on in the order. Which is why the ones early on seem to be working... sort of.

I have posted the image as I think our versions are incompatible. But I have just added some data management.

[Shift Paths], [Clean] and [Repeat]

Thanks Danny... the image doesn't appear to be coming through. I appreciate your help!

Worked great thank you!!!

attempt 2

Its not going to happen today I will try again in the morning

OK well i'll try those three commands around the definition to see if helps clean up my data until you get a chance to post the pic.
