algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi David,
Considering the growing number of analysis components for Grasshopper it might be a good idea to add more advanced graphs and charts to Grasshopper. Current set (Quick Graph, Bar Graph, and Pie Chart) is cool but kind of limited to quick presentations.
I think a set of standard charts (Line, Column, Bar, Pie, Scatter, etc.) similar to excel would be a great start. To have control on axes range, axes title, colors, etc. is also something that can help so much to make a better presentation of the result.
I understand that it could be so much to ask for now but in case there are more people who think more advanced charts are helpful, and you find it worthwhile to put more time on charts and graphs then something like MATLAB graphs and charts is what I would love to have in Grasshopper: (http://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/creating_plots/figures-plots-a...). Again I know it is so much to ask for now but I just thought I should bring it up and then see the opinion of others.
Thanks,
Mostapha

Hi John,
I would like to pick up this old topic, did you continue to work on your Embryo? If so, can you share it again?

Here is an example published by Autodesk last week-> watch 3:53
Hello,
yes I agree totally with Mostapha, it is really time consuming bring all the data in Excel to create appropriate graphs. Ok there are plugin for this task and few works well but there is alwasy some editing to do.
There is a project by CASE of Nathan Miller about new components for chart really promising, but it hasn't been released yet (and now it's long time it appeared). This one:

Hi Mostafa,
I faced with a problem when I followed your honeybee workshop, I attached its image .please let me know if you know the reason.

Hi Mehrnoush,
I would send this to Ladybug group page. Looks like a permission issue. Just change the name of the folder and it should work fine.
Mostapha
Mostafa,
it was my mistake that put this comment here.sry about that.
but you mentioned about changing the name of the folder.which folder?
Mehrnoush
I meant you need to change the input for "_radFileName_". "myFirstSimulation" in your case. If it didn't solve the issue please move the discussion to Ladybug group. Thanks. -Mostapha
Hi David,
I completely agree with Mostapha. Is it possible to import modules for Python such as Numpy, and Matplotlib? I believe that could help too.
Thanks,
Hi everyone,
I am reopening this topic of creating custom charts and graph with GH.
I saw a very interesting video of case from 2013 showing a graph editor, but I can't find it here.
Does anyone knows if there is now a simple way to do that?
Thank you very much for your help
