algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi, bit stupid, but I am getting crazy!
let say you have two given points, you extract the x, y, z and you connect the respective coordinates in the definition, ok.
my problem is: I want to generate a series of parabolas based on different planes, how can I change the plane? in this version we only work with on plane ignoring in one case z and in the other z.
I hope it is clear, let check the image.
thanks for help!!
maybe this picture is even more clear:
i need to build the parabolas on the different planes but in the definition the y value is ignored and everything is projects on the xy plane.
any idea?
no, I need to work directly on each plane, because the moved parabola are not on the points.
Try this, For starters, this will draw them all on the planes but they will all be the same. Depending how how you want to control them indivually you could either have lots of sliders or look at creating a set of ranges or series.
I don't think you need to draw though hundred of points to create the curves but not had a chance to read up on the maths yet maybe someelse know already,
Another thing to look at would be the Catenary Curve component instead.
Edit: Seem with a little more reading Catenary Curves only look like Parabola they are a(scaled, rotated) graph of the hyperbolic cosine. Well thats what i have read.. Though as Gaudi uses them to make all the arches for sagrada familia it may still be helpful
Hope this helps
Matt
