algorithmic modeling for Rhino

a lofted surface with lubchbox applied  , i am trying to  lay out ,unfolding, each triangle onto a surface (for lasercutting) as well as tabbing them (both with score and cut ,

i used igor definition in

http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/unfolding-tabbing-and-tag...

but there's an error appears in plane origin said that data conversion failed from surface to plan

can any one help

any help !? :(

Rather than trying to convert a surface into a plane (btw I don't know why it is failing) you can use [Evaluate Surface] to create a plane at any point such as the middle. ((0.5, 0.5) of a reparamaterised surface)

Or you can create planes from Lines and points such as a specific edge and the opposite point. This will allow you to orientate the planes specifically.

thank you Danny ! , i will try it now ...

I don't have Lunchbox installed so I cannot test why it fails. Typically a conversion from surface to plane fails if the surface is not planar. If you can internalise the surfaces and post only that data I can have a more detailed look.

I really meant just one surface parameter which has all the data inside of it. Like so:

The file you posted still has non-standard components.
