Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

The attached gh file doesn't do anything but try to show what I'm requesting.

I often build "matching" outputs into a tree so that I can cycle through the items in that tree and visually see that everything is matching to each relative item and that I haven't made a mistake somewhere.

Sometimes the matching item is a vector, but I can't pull the output from the vector display component into another component.

Hi Norm,

there is no datatype in Grasshopper that can handle displayable vectors. The display is handled entirely inside the component. I'm afraid your only option for the foreseeable future is to create line segments using [Line SDL]. You won't get arrowheads but you will at least get cycleable visible vector shafts.

Ok, thanks David.  I was hoping that there was a way to do this in the component (or future component.)  Like you said, there's no arrow heads with SDL and it's just adding another component to the model.

But, it is what it is so a line is what I'll use.  Thanks!

Here's my quick and dirty hack...  I see I didn't connect the scaling input... that would allow scaling the head relative to the length of the vector.
