#Request - making curve out of a vector direction from a point location on a surface!

Hi,

Does anyone of you tried to make this function in grasshopper or Rhino?

Please let us know.

Thanks everyone!!

not quite. the vector is one of the tangents at that particular point on the surface.

It will give you a tangent line at that point of that surface. but what i was looking for was more like a geodesic curve that starts with that tangent line (vector) and follow the surface's nature curvature. Is this making sense??

Exactly like that!! thanks Marcus.

One question though, when you rotate the plane about its Z axis. are the Us and Vs still perpendicular to the plane's X and Y axis??

Thanks Marcus!

I think you gave me a good start for my work. if I do figure something out, will keep you posted :)
