Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

We've finally increased to full scale and are currently waiting on testing of the performance mockup at the Construction Research Lab in Miami (shown in the image).  Throughout this project Grasshopper has been of great use to us in designing, documenting, and in this case fabricating the project.  We were sharing the geometry we created in Grasshopper with our fabricators through Rhino files.  Their comments usually led to parameter changes or sometimes the addition of parameters to the grasshopper definition.

Thanks!  Quality looks pretty good from your photos.

You'll have to post some under-construction shots if you can get out there...

The precaster is Sidley Precast Group and we've been really happy with the finish quality.  We went with a sandblast finish which has been tricky when small bubbles of air get trapped under the surface, but they've found ways of getting around that.

We're about done with the posts on this project but there are some others in the office that we'll probably start posting on in the next few months.

Who's your precaster?  Are you happy with the finish quality?

BTW, thanks for all the detailed postings!
