karamba - parametric structural analysis

karamba is an interactive structural analysis program at the interface between architecture, design and engineering. It closes the gap between parametric design and statical assessment.

We bought too many Karambas and we haven't opened, used and registered a license for the last couple of months. Anyone interested in buying one?

Adrian

Just say, "Go to Rhino folder in Program files and .gha file is there." I wasted a lot of time to find it.

Solution for people who had problem about installation: Program Files/Rhino/Plugins/karamba.gha

Copy it to Grasshopper Library!

Hello Clemens,

The solution was to copy the karamba.dll into the windows\system default folder.

Hello,

did you move the Karamba files into the same folder where 'grasshopper.dll' resides?

Best,

Clemens

Hello,

I have Grasshopper 9.0064

Rhino 5 SR7 64x

When I try to install Karamba , I change the folder, but it always installs it into a different one (Program Files x86) and even if I move the files manually, I still get the karamba PINVOKE error.

Anybody any idea?

Thank you

What version of Grasshopper do you have? Rhino4 or Rhino5?
What version of karamba are you trying to install?

Comment by Andrea Trajkovska on February 17, 2013 at 4:40am

Hi djordje,

thanks for the reply.

Yes, I have both Rh4 and 5 on my comp,

and before writing here I tried all of those options mentioned on

the thread you sent.

I tried everything possible I found.

I asked a friend to try and install karamba on his comp to see if

he gets the same issues as I did...

and he successfully installed it but it's the 32bit version,

where I have the 64bit one.

Is there a problem maybe with the 64 bit one?

I have no idea what to do next...

Hi Andrea.
Do you have both Rhino 4 and Rhino 5 installed on your PC?
Check your Karamba version (32bit version of karamba version for 32bit Rhino application, the same goes for 64 bit version) and placement of karamba.dll file. Take a look at these explanations.

Hi I tried everything on this and other threads,

but I'm still getting the PINVOKE error no matter what I do.

I need this for a project really bad and I've already wasted 3 days trying to solve this issue.

PLEASE HELP!
