Ya, I'm trying this Grasshopper thing. Trying to work out a way to quickly assess GZ curves. Particularly area under curves, for recovery energy and stuff. I love the sail visualization thing you did. that's crazy!

Hey Will, would there be an opportunity to help out with this design you are working on? I would be interested in sitting in to learn a few things. Let me know, thanks.

Well that's interesting! I am sure I can be of some help with that. My new company is Island CNC. I have a 6' x 10' router that can cut aluminum, plastic, wood...etc. no steel though. I don't have a website, that will take time. I can be reached by phone at 250-208-2945 or e-mail at info@island-cnc.com
I modeled, developed and nested parts to be cut with waterjet. This project worked out really good, all parts went together nicely. I actually used grasshopper to help me create the hull plates. Awesome tool, thanks David!!

Hi there! Up until recently I have been working for Titan Boats. While there I created a parametric grasshopper definition that lets me make and analyze a 3d lofted hull. Grasshopper is defiantly an awesome tool! I have not heard of SALTS, I work mostly in manufacturing. I'd like to do more boat design, I have a cnc router now that I can use to cut material for my projects. I live and work in Sidney....

I'm not a naval architect, but I do like to model boats, and I'd like to do more projects. I recently worked on the Nomad buoy while at titan: http://www.axystechnologies.com/BusinessUnit/AXYSMarineEnvironmentalMonitoring/MetOceanWeatherObservingPlatforms/NOMADBuoy/tabid/114/Default.aspx

thanks for your feedback......the system brick system is the only part designed by me, the grid/plate system is an as-built.
cheers
