Your blogs are great! I especially liked works of your students that are connected to biologic organisms, it has a lot to do with generic forms we are dealing with. I'm student of architecture at the university of Belgrade and our course seams similar to yours. Blog I sent you is started by our professor... we also worked with scripting in rhino, mostly affine transformations.. it seems we have similar programme. :)

cheap tricks - mesh color by normal direction (akin to normal map)

Found it almost by accident while working on something entirely different, and maybe not exactly the same kind of mapping you would find, say, in 3D studio or Blender, but a fast and cheap way to test your mesh normal orientation.
