In the very remote case an old student of mine comes upon this. The image is from an example I used to introduce iterative scripting in a 2009 class in AA. I was going through old files when I saw it and reminded me of this thread.

Luck, i guess.

I didn't use Kangaroo, it's a very simple iterative script.

For every tentacle, create a plane starting from the base, move the plane on its normal a small amount inversely proportional to the distance to the other thing, rotate the plane a small amount towards the other thing, repeat.

Place circles on the resulting lists of planes, each with a smaller radii, then loft them together.

Vicente, how did you manage to avoid the collisions between tentacles ? Kangaroo ?
