algorithmic modeling for Rhino
For those that are reading the long list of added features to v.0.8.0010 and wondering what exactly Initialization Code is then here are the answers.
Nearly a year ago to the day the first snippet of initialization code was added to Grasshopper in the form of Panel=Hello World! see video (The discussion is here)
By including the "=" after a keyword search you can set the initial values of some grasshopper components. The most notable examples were panel, slider and scribble. The list has just grown dramatically.
For example now if you wish to add a Split List component to the definition and already know where you want the list divided then you can simply type Split List=1. Or if you need to add 1 to a number the Addition=1 will put the initial value of the B input to 1.
There are still some notable absences: Primitives - Boolean, Integer etc. and Also the X,Y,Z Vectors. But I think David has done a fabulous job of going through and identifying those components where this could be applicable.
Any further suggestions?
